Chickadee's Comfort

Coot came home from work and found this note sitting on one of the end tables in the living room. He asked me if I knew what it was for. I didn't, but asked him if it was mine or Chickadee's handwriting. He said it was Chickadee's. I told him I wasn't aware of what it was for.
I thought it was a verse that she had read that stood out to her while we were reading through the book of Job back in January/February. He walked back to her room and asked her why she had wrote down this particular passage of scripture. I was amazed by her answer.

Job 11:18
And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

She said that Sparrow was scared at one point in time and that she wanted him to feel safe. She wrote the scripture down for him, so that he could remember that God was always near.
This absolutely blew my mind away. I am overhearing this conversation between my husband and daughter and am absolutely surprised! Of course, it was a very pleasant surprise! Coot then proceeded to ask her how she remembered the verse and she said she had learned it throughout one of her Word Building (spelling) PACE's. Of course, she learns a new verse in every PACE she does and there have been so many through the year, that I totally had forgotten she even learned it. Anyway, I was just so proud and so surprised at how much she is learning AND retaining! I am especially pleased that she is learning she can count on the Word of God when she needs answers to life's dilemmas! I am one VERY proud mama!

Sparrow's Tooth

Sparrow discovered two days ago that he had a loose tooth. I explained to him that he would lose it eventually and a new tooth would grow in it's place. He has been wiggling it constantly. Needless to say, it came out this morning. Here is the proud, toothless, little man!

I apologize for the quality. The batteries for the camera were currently in the wireless bar for the Nintendo Wii. My cell phone had to do. Hopefully, I can get a better picture later this afternoon.
